Mod Guidelines
You can connect with 0 mods just fine!
Better Networking - We strongly recommend installing this mod to improve everyone's' experience.
Any client side mods allowed but be cool about it. Don't reveal the whole map with a sailing skill then write it to a map table, for example. Please refrain from flat out cheating with spawning things and that sort of stuff.
Please send me feedback for changes or anything that you see that is weird!
The server does cost Weez money! If you feel like helping out: Donate
🤝 Etiquette — how we share the world
The rules pin says don't steal or destroy other players' stuff. Here is what that means in practice — Valheim enforces almost none of it.
Their stuff
- Ask before you go in someone's house, and before you open their chests. Not locked never meant not theirs. A ward stops a chest being opened — it doesn't stop it being broken, and it doesn't cover carts or ship holds.
- Never open a chest someone else is standing in. Items can vanish — a real bug, not superstition.
- Graves are private. Anyone can loot a tombstone. We don't. Say where you died and someone will run out with you.
- Tames have no owner in code. Anyone can call someone's wolves or ride their lox. Don't. Never cull a pen: stars come from the parents.
- Boats have no owner either. Ask, then bring it back to the same shore with the hold as you found it. Break your own down when you dock.
- Don't add yourself to someone's ward, even to help.
Their build
- Don't dig, mine or hammer near someone's base. The ground is load-bearing, terrain can't be put back exactly, and one beam can drop the roof.
- Shut doors and gates. Open doors path mobs straight indoors; tamed boars leave through an open gate on purpose.
- Never lead a mob or a boss into someone's base. If a fight is wrecking a build you're standing in, leave and say so — it calms down when nobody's there.
The shared world
- Sit down when someone goes to bed. The skip needs everyone; standing AFK blocks it.
- Say it in chat before you summon a boss. It never despawns, and 80 m shares the credit.
- Portal tags are case-sensitive, 10 characters, and two blank ones pair with each other. Reusing a tag silently steals someone's link.
- Put a workbench near anything you want kept — the weekly re-roll skips zones with a base marker. Don't build inside crypts or caves.
- Bin your floor junk and pull down outposts you've finished with.
