The rank ladder
Hours on the server earn a title, and the colour that goes with it in Discord. Hours are cumulative and never reset — a world wipe is not a demotion, and everything you played before registering still counts.
Bóndi (1 h) · Drengr (5 h) · Húskarl (10 h) · Þegn (25 h) ★ · Berserkr (50 h) ★ · Styrimaðr (75 h) · Hersir (100 h) · Merkismaðr (150 h) · Einherjar (200 h) · Æsir-Sworn (300 h) · Sagabearer (400 h) · Ragnarök-Sworn (500 h) · Gimlé-Sworn (750 h) · Eilífr (1000 h)
What a rank unlocks ★
- Every rank — a coloured title role beside your name in Discord, with a star per tier: ★ from Bóndi up to ★★★★★ at the summit. You wear one rank role at a time, so the colour always says where you actually are.
- Þegn (25 h) — your arrival is announced in-game. Everyone playing sees your title and name on screen.
- Berserkr (50 h) —
/valheimsayin Discord puts a message on the screen of everyone playing. One every 15 minutes. - Every promotion is announced in-game as well, at any rank.
- Odin's blessing — every evening, at a random time between 4 and 10 pm Central, Odin blesses one viking on the rolls for 24 hours: a light-blue Blessed by Odin name that outshines any rank colour. Everyone is blessed once before anyone is blessed twice, and your count shows on your join card and on this roster. You're tagged in #valheim-odin, announced in-game, and Odin DMs you what it means. It's an honour, not a power: nothing changes in game.
- Being on the rolls at all — the gold Valheim Viking name,
polls you can create in #valheim-poll, a join card with your own quote and image, plus
/valheimme, DM alerts, the saga and this roster.
More perks will hang off the high ranks over time.
